Small class-size allows undergraduate students at Bryn Mawr to participate in research; in this case, students in Assistant Professor of Geology Pedro Marenco’s Carbonate Petrography and Geochemistry class helped coauthor a paper on the growth of stromalites in the five million years following the Permian–Triassic extinction event, also called the Great Dying.
